Log and analyze user sign-ins and sign-outs
As a full administrator, you can keep track of user sign-ins and sign-outs. You can analyze this data to help make accounts more secure.
Once you toggle Allow user authentication data on in Control Hub, user sign-ins and sign-outs are logged and can be retrieved through the public API. You can then view and analyze the data in security applications such as UEBA and SIEM, which can run their machine learning algorithms to discover suspicious and malicious behaviors, detect attack vectors, and identify compromised passwords. Webex stores the data for 12 months.
Understand and track authentication activities
The Authentication activities tab in Control Hub tracks interactive user logins, where users actively provide credentials, like entering a password or completing multi-factor authentication. It doesn't include non-interactive logins, such as automatic access token refreshes.
Keep in mind that the LastServiceAccessTime
in the user export CSV updates
whenever an access token generates, including both interactive and non-interactive logins.
It's best to think of it as a general indicator of when a user last accessed a service,
rather than expecting it to directly match the sign-in events in the
Authentication activities tab.
